Privacy notice
This notice covers the free guide “5 Fixes to Try Before You Waste Another 3D Print” on this site.
Who is responsible
Bradley Fernando / thetechbff operates this site and decides how the data below is used. Contact: bradley@thetechbff.com.
What is collected and why
- Your email address (stored in lowercase), when you first and most recently requested the guide, and whether you ticked the optional tips box (with the time and wording version of that choice). This is used to unlock the guide for you.
- No email is sent. There is no email delivery service, so ticking the tips box does not send anything yet.
- A signed cookie that contains no email address records that this browser unlocked the guide. It expires after 7 days.
- To limit repeated attempts, a keyed one-way hash of your connection's IP address and a request count are stored for the short rate-limit window and removed by the next daily maintenance. The IP address itself is not stored by this site. The hosting provider may keep its own standard request logs.
Where it is processed
The site is hosted on Vercel. Requests are stored in a Neon Postgres database in United States (AWS us-east-1).
How long it is kept
Your request is kept for 90 days after your most recent request. Automated maintenance runs once a day and deletes records past that cutoff, along with expired rate-limit records, so deletion can happen up to about a day after the cutoff. Rate-limit records are not removed the instant their window ends.
Your choices
- To see, correct or delete your data, or to withdraw tips consent, email bradley@thetechbff.com.
- If marketing email is ever added: double opt-in and an unsubscribe link in every message.
Marketing consent is always separate and optional. It is never needed to get the guide.
